easy tax

This is the first time I have done my own taxes in many years. The cost of the program was so affordable for me.I recommend it to anyone who has been paying large fees.

All in all, very good. moved numbers to correct forms and lines which is an area that is easily done wrong
What's great about it: places correct amount on the appropriate forms
What's not so great: didn't specify error & I had to figure it out.
Pros: I bought or sold investments

Love turbo tax for years

I have used this tax program for several years to do my taxes, my children's taxes and sometimes my friends. It has been easy and takes only the time you need to get used to it. It is consistent and thorough. I am a sole proprietor and the Delux version works for me. I can go from year to year and it does the transfer and figuring for me. Thanks so much

Done with Taxes Quickly

I have been using Turbo Tax for several years now. It is easy to use and efile my taxes. Gets it done quickly and as painlessly a possible. Like the fact that I can transfer information from last year. Saves a lot of duplicated work.

Head Ache Saver

I have been using Turbo Tax for many years, I like the simple easy to understand questions and the help features. Saves a lot of time being on hold on the phone for help info if trying to contact IRS Help Desk.
What's great about it: Detailed questions throughout program
What's not so great: The fees for filing process

Worse than the IRS

The program preloaded my information from last year. From that point forward I could not "edit" any entry. I had to reload all my bank information and charitable organizations in order to put in a different amount than last year. I have been using turbotax for many years. This was the absolute worst experience I have ever had doing taxes. I promised myself that turbotax would not be part of my experience next year.
What's great about it: Did the calculations
What's not so great: No idea how to manage my affairs to minimize my tax exposure. There is less explanation available than the IRS book.

Found things I Missed!

Love Turbo Tax. Have been using it for a LONG time-too long to count the years! I have never had any problems with the results and it seems that each year it gets better and easier for the lay person to understand. I like that there is support from Professionals, not Bob the Plumber filling in for Tax Season!
What's great about it: Like that you can go back, even a few days later, find what you want and it's there.
What's not so great: Sometimes I get confused on terminology.
