The only way I'd do taxes

So long as we have to do taxes, TurboTax is the only way to go unless you have an unusual situation not covered by the software. Step-by-step interview process is great - together with some reading, I feel like I've uncovered all the changes that apply to my situation, reducing the need to read of Federal instructions and publications. Also avoids using a tax prep professional, avoiding yet one more file someone can lose or steal for identity theft.
What's great about it: Complete and thorough
What's not so great: The only con is the tax law which ain't TurboTax's fault

Good, but buggy

I've used TurboTax for 8 years now, and as always it has made filing easier. This year, however, the program seemed more unstable than in the past.
Any time it checked online for updates, I had to restart the application to get it to recognize it had what it needed and be able to move forward.
During its check of my state tax return, it said my job title was too long and brought up a place where I could edit the form. Unfortunately, the field wasn't editable, so I had to go back to my Federal return and edit the job title there.
I love turbo tax! I hope this apparent decline in quality is just a one year occurrance!
What's great about it: Easily go through all the tax information
What's not so great: Had to restart several times, and figure out other workarounds.

I have been using Turbo Tax for many years and highly recommend the product. It is easy to follow, so once you have all your information gathered for the tax return, it takes very little time to complete the process and file the returns.
What's great about it: Easy to follow- Help options are very helpful!!!

Easy and Foolproof!

I actually studied income tax preparation, many years ago, from a home correspondance course. Tax laws change so often and since I do not work in the tax law or accounting fields, staying updated would be a truly onerous chore! But even if you know absolutely nothing about tax law, TurboTax guides you smoothly and surely through each step of preparing your return. The explanations are very concise and easy to understand. It's also nice to know they have professionals standing by, just in case! Well done, Turbo Tax people!
What's great about it: Error checking and Data transfer

I HAVE BEEN USING TURBOTAX FOR YEARS AND THIS YEAR IS THE WORST VERSION I HAVE EVER USED. IT DOES NOT PRINT ANY SCREEN AND TO BE ABLE TO PRINT FORMS IS A HASSLE PLEASE MAKE IT MORE USER FRIENDLY NEXT YEAR
