Turbo Tax keeps me informed of what I can claim and not. It is easy to go through this software and continues improving every year.
What's great about it: Ease

Pretty Easy

Nice that it moved stuff over....only bad was that I ran all the checks and did everything and then later when I went to print it said "do you want to print with an error?" If there was an error I shouldn't find out about it when I go to print after the error check has already said I'm good. It was referencing that I had an error on my state id for the w2. next to where the number goes in that identifies the employer it wanted my state. That information is not on the w2 it is blank. I winged it with the two letter postal abv. for my state but I was concerned that it didn't get caught earlier if it was an issue or that it got caught at all if it wasn't.
What's great about it: Pulled in my information from last year
What's not so great: It said I was good on the error check and then said I had an error later

Turbo tax is over the top and easy to use software and way ahead than your CPA, because your CPA might forget to ask you the deductions, but turbo tax won't forget anything. You know your taxes more than anybody. Hence handle it yourself and stop paying a lot more to tax filing people who don't care that much in such details as compared to Turbotax
What's great about it: All deductions are reminded
What's not so great: Time consuming as you are filing for yourself

Thank goodness for Turbo Tax!

I've used Turbo Tax for several years. Using pencil and paper as in the old days would be impossible. Appreciate the fact that info from previous year is transferred...also helps me get organized because the program remembers what I need! Taxes get more complicated each year, unfortunately. Fortunately Turbo Tax helps me manage the complications!

Overall a great software package

When you click on the Help button, it opens many windows. Not all of them get populated with the help screen either. Using the Delux software on Windows. (IE)
The home office deduction directions could b a little clearer.
What's great about it: Easy guidance thru the tax process

User Friendly, Easy to Understand

Very easy to follow. No problems understanding. Made entering all my forms very easy.
The error check. The form clearly stated I should leave the line blank if there was no name to my business. Turbo Tax would not let me file without filling in this field. Not a huge deal at all, but it was the only noticeable thing that stuck out that I had some trouble with. :)
