Made Life Easier

Takes most of the hassle out of filing state and federal returns. All the double checking and redundent systems built in make it so much easier. Doing tax forms will never be fun, but Turbo Tax takes most of the angst out of the process. I completed all of my returns in about 10 hours spred over two days. I'm a believer in TT.
What's great about it: did all the math, covered all thebases, very detailed. Improves each year
What's not so great: the investment and retirement sections are still a little intimidating. But know how you could improve that

Filing is a breeze with TurboTax!

I am not, by any means, a financially savvy person and filing my taxes were made easy with TurboTax. I love the option of coming back to a section as I had to hunt for my documents after I found out what I needed.
What's great about it: Simple, easy-to-follow, step-by-step directions

Do it yourself

I have used Turbo Tax for years. I recommend it to everyone I know. Why pay an accountant when you have to do the hard part --gathering the information needed-- yourself? Turbo even guided me through the business of becoming a widow. Anticipating the problems gave me many sleepless nights. Then I started my return and found Turbo provided all the needed information and asked all the relevant questions.
What's great about it: Easy to follow cues. Turbo Tax does all the complicated calculations for you.
What's not so great: Sometimes seemed too simple, especially if you've used it before.

So easy!

I love the fact that all I have to do is review the numbers and information that has been transferred for me. Not only do they transfer your personal information from the previous years forms, they also transferred our W-2 form information. That makes it so much easier and makes less chances for input mistakes.
Plus, they have many different ways to offer help. That is very convenient.
I've used Turbo Tax for my taxes for years now, and I will continue to use it in the future.

Cheap, Easy and Accurate

I was behind in getting my taxes done and used turbo tax to catch up on 5 past due tax returns and getting them done was easy, so when it came time to file my most recent tax return I did not have to think twice about what program I was going to use to get my taxes done.
The program walked me through step-by-step on what information I needed to fill out the forms and was helpful in determining if we could claim our grandchildren as dependents since they have moved in with us and their parents had no source of income and we were fully supporting them all.
What's great about it: Easy to follow
What's not so great: Additional cost to efile

Automation at its best

The WI state program should be setup to pick up the amount of a Federal pension from the Federal return. This is a reduced amount for some Federal retirees. Instead, the preparer has to go back to the Federal forms and figure it out.
What's great about it: Ease of entering data. Remembering info from former return.
What's not so great: State return could be simpler
Pros: I bought or sold investments
