Painfully Sweet

I've been using Turbo Tax since 2007 and it has been a very invaluable tool to do my annual taxes. The software is extremely useful and Turbo Tax provides a very resourceful support either within the software or live! I am going to continue using Turbo Tax until I don't have to file taxes!!

What's great about it: Auto Refill, Auto Tab, easy to obtain my Electronic Filing PIN and review questions to make sure I didn't miss something
What's not so great: Turbo Tax has always simplified the process for me!
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Tubo Tax made filling out forms & filing a complicated
tax return easy. Selling family home & moving with all
the ramificaions for tax preparation was simplified

Family Style!

Love love love TT. I've used it now for ~10 yrs and it gets better every year. I"ve used HRB online and some of the other "free" tax prep s/w, but TT is by far the most accurate, easiest to use and the most flexible. This year I used it for four different family members & keeping track of the different tax needs was the easiest yet. Plus, saving and restarting a return is convenient, precise and always...again...EASY. No browser startup, no login hassles. TT is just...there. I will use it again next year.
What's great about it: EASY to use; flexible; accurate
What's not so great: Couldn't easily delete an extraneous unwanted form.

During the review process - near the very last - TurboTax told me to click the box 'maximize Education'. It dropped my amount owed by $2,600. The IRS still believes they need a big chunk of my money more than I do, but TurboTax helped lessen that amount greatly!
What's great about it: So easy, and money slashed off of my amount owed

Turbo Tax was very easy to use and directed you in detail through all the steps for filling your return. I had always paid someone to do this for me, but not anymore!!

The program is easy to use. I like how it walks me through each section and has places to click if assistance is needed. There are times that the programs goes through and asks question that don't pertain to me. If I go to fast I can hit the back button and reread what I may have missed.
What's great about it: Easy

As a Turbo Tax user for more than ten years I'm familiar with the format so going from one year to the next is relatively easy. I pretty much know what documents I need before I open up the new version of Turbo Tax. I don't have a clue as to how the first time user might react to Turbo Tax. I do think there is real benefit to picking Turbo Tax and staying with it.
What's great about it: I'm a 10 plus year user of Turbo Tax. Appreciate format continuity!
What's not so great: Min. Dist. calculations and instructions were vague.
