I sometimes found help text to be very vauge, short and just cut and paste from the IRS definitions. Real world examples and more in depth descriptions would be helpful. I wanted to know if my daughter had to file for the money she recieved from selling her goat at the county fair, never really had this addressed. I had to assume it was earned income.
Overall I like Turbo tax and have used it many years. Thanks
What's great about it: Fast, affordable, carries over information from last year.
What's not so great: more help would be appreciated

Very Easy

Love the way it anticipates my questions--then supplies the answer by defining an item and/or linking me into the matching IRS Publication. This way I know for sure if it applies to me or not--immediately!! Make everything so quick and easy.
Much more user friendly than when I first started using Turbo Tax years ago. I love this year's version!

Blown Away with the speed

I think this is a wonderful program for beginners or those of us that have used the program in the past. I like the idea that they are continually keeping the program up to date with changes as they become available to make sure you are getting all the benefits of filing as if you were sitting across the desk from a live person. It's like have our own tax preparer in your computer without the extra cost of paying for their service. I also like the idea that you can do more than one return, that way you can do the whole family and split the cost of the purchase of the program. More money in your pocket!!!!!
What's great about it: really liked the step by step guide, at the end you feel like you have gotten every deduction you can get
What's not so great: I really haven't found anything bad or that I didn't like about the program

Painless task

I will always use Turbo tax to file my taxes it is so easy and painless. Every year a dread this time of year. Then the instant I load in my Turbotax and it gathers all my info from last year, then walks me through the process, I then wonder why I was dreading this time of year. This is really easy and painless.

Makes filing a snap!

TurboTax provides step-by-step directions that makes filing easy. All you need are organized records and it guides you through the process. Very user-friendly and saves you time from reading new tax laws if you do plan to do your taxes yourself. The money you will save from going to a tax specialist is another huge plus. Also like the audit protection option. Have been using the program for the past two years and will continue to do so. Gets you the highest refund and allows you to efile saving you a trip to the post office.
What's great about it: Everything well-explained and thorough.
