Can Do?

I've done my taxes on Turbo Tax for years and have been very happy with the results and ease of use. My taxes went smoothly.
This year I tried to do my father's taxes and threw my hands up in frustration. Because of uncertainty on how to handle some of his expenses, investments and part year residency, I ended up taking his files to a tax person. I was fairly certain that the federal work I did was good but trying to figure out North Carolina state taxes was beyond me even with the help of TurboTax.
What's great about it: Easy to use for straight forward tax filing
What's not so great: Could not figure out how to file my father's taxes.

My Turbo Tax Experience 2012

This was the first year I purchased the CD. I had been curious to try it in previous years because I found the online version pretty easy to use. I was very impressed! It was easy to use. I only wonder if this will save my return online?
What's great about it: Very easy to use
What's not so great: I had a hard uploading my previous return

Best Way to File

It makes tax filing quick and accurate.
What's great about it: The system prompts me at every section so nothing is missed and does the math. Quick to file with e-file.
What's not so great: It is a little hard to get back in the return if it has been saved.

Great job on taxes

It's great to have a listing from last year's taxes since it reminds me of things I need for this year and I can easily make comparisons. Just one problem with the Wisconsin state tax form: the software doesn't handle the long-term care insurance deduction properly. I had to research it myself and fill in the info using an override. The calculations seemed to work ok with the override, though.
What's great about it: Using TurboTax was a great way to double-check what I thought I needed, and it helped me find all my info.
What's not so great: Still a lingering problem with Wisconsin state taxes

Great Software

I have used Turbo Tax for many years and I like it a lot. I do my tax planning by creating an "estimated" version of next year's tax return early in the year. I like the ability to pull all my financial transactions on line rather than input them manually. It is a double check for the spreadsheet I create of my stock transactions. I like the ability to print the form I am looking at or the entire return.
A very comprehensive program that does what I need it to do. And E-filing is fast and easy and also is free.
What's great about it: Easy to use. Multiple ways to input
What's not so great: when going backwards (need to modify an entry already in), it can be difficult getting to the form it was input on.
Pros: I bought or sold investments

Awesome Again!

Once again, TurboTax comes up aces. A great product. Admittedly, I don't have the most complex return, but the software is fast, easy to follow and continually getting better.
What's great about it: Easy; Helpful; Intuitive; Fast
What's not so great: Can't deduct cost of software anymore...thanks IRS
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Newlyweds: Great TurboTax Experience

As young newlyweds, my wife and I were intimidated to do taxes for ourselves. In prior years, we were dependents on our parent's returns. As tax season was approaching, the majority of our friends, family, and coworkers strongly suggested TurboTax, claiming that it made filing taxes easy and straightforward. They sure were right. The entire process was relatively quick and reassuring, especially as a first time tax filer. We would strongly recommend TurboTax to all young couples.
What's great about it: Made filing our taxes simple & easy despite being an intimidating process for young newlyweds.
What's not so great: Sometimes the "Easy Guide" would ask us for irrelevant information.
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)
