Clarity out of confusion

This tax program was compared to others by a CPA turned minister in the church and it was the only one that handled ministerial taxes correctly. Thanks!

Life is Good!

I have been using Turbo Tax for more than 20 years thanks to my Father (yes, I listened to him), and can't imagine doing taxes any other way.
My Mother didn't trust Turbo Tax for many years, but has learned, and now admits that she gets more back with Turbo Tax, and she has learned her kid isn't so dumb!
What's great about it: Easy to understand
What's not so great: None : )

I love Turbo Tax!

I really love using Turbo Tax and have been using it for about 15 years. One year I also purchased TaxCut but it was not as easy to use nor did it come up with as large of a refund. Since then I only use Turbo Tax. It has improved quite a bit and each year is better at handling special situations, like partnerships and other unique investments. I especially appreciate the additional information provided on topics. I rarely have to go to the IRS website for assistance. Thank you!

unable to see past taxes

When Turbo Tax compares the current filing with past filings it consistently gets the past taxes wrong. How can that be? It can be a problem especially when it uses the previous filing to fill in the current tax filing. For example, it incorrectly stated my 2011 amount I received from the Fed filing. It also incorrectly stated the amounts in the 2011 column for comparing taxes. It also was not able to find, in order to compare past taxes, any forms before 2011. I have purchased the software and installed it on the same computer since 2008.
Another problem...it installs the program in the same folder (C:\Program Files\TurboTax), but shows up in my "All Programs" as separate programs. Perhaps I can see a reason for this (you may want to look at how you did things in Turbo Tax in the past), however, when I try to open one of the legacy programs they are not able to find the forms. What is the good in that?

PA State Version - waste of money

Why is this a problem every year? It has never worked for me in the past 7 years. I always have to go online.

Totally awesome way to file taxes

I used to pay someone a lot of money to prepare my taxes so I thought I would try doing it on my own. I bought TurboTax 3 years ago and have been using it since then. It was very easy to use and the step by step guidance as well as the error check are extremely helpful. I am very pleased with the product since not only am I saving hundreds of dollars in tax preparation fees but it has also maximized my deductions and so I'm getting better refunds.

3rd Year Wahoo or what?

Been my third year on Turbo Tax and you breeze right through with the automatic W-2 numbers input. Worth the bucks you lay on the counter.
What's great about it: Piece of cake walking through step by step
What's not so great: Had to pay for State return
