We've been using Turbo Tax for several years now and it is very easy to use. We particularly like how we can download all our investment information directly from Merrill Lynch and not have to list every sale ourselves. We only had one glitch at the very end when for we were asked for "employer zip" when we have not employer. We are both retired. However, we went to "HELP" and posted our question and received a very detailed, step-by-step answer that walked us through how to correct the problem! It worked beautifully and we were able to file!

Taxes

I wish it was easier to input from the FORMS option. It is difficult to jump around on the forms and fill in necessary info. and he FORM 1116 is very difficult to figure exactly what is needed to calculate foreign tax credit.
What's great about it: Abilitity to move between forms and questions
What's not so great: Question option very tedious

Very Easy

I did my taxes with the paper forms and directions in the past and the Turbo Tax makes it so much less painful. I don't lose sleep the night before I do taxes.
What's great about it: Love being able to enter each item asked for and Turbo Tax letting me know which way was best to file
What's not so great: Had a little trouble getting back into it to add info found after complete

As a member of a Veterans Service organization, travel is frequently offset by a stipend intended to almost cover travel and lodging. There are no provisions for this in turbo tax, making me become a private consultant (this is not a business) and itemize all expenses, including "non-use" of my private vehicle, to offset the 1099 "income". Frustrating.
What's great about it: Importing last year's data
What's not so great: Complicated method to account for expenses
