Quick and simple, with good explanations of deductions. Grabs previous year's data to avoid long downloads of information.
What's great about it: Easy to use, nice to have auto downloads of 1099 info
What's not so great: didnt like to adds of buying other products

TurboTax Saves Me EVERY year

This is my 6th straight year using TurboTax and this program is truley a life saver. I can easily do my tax returns myself without having to pay thousands of dollars that I don't have to someone else to do it for me. I am only sorry I didn't start using the program earlier.
What's great about it: Easy to use
What's not so great: Verbiage in TurboTax program doesn't match 1099 statements
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Rocky but Smooth

Had a problem opening my turbo tax 2012 after I had competed all of the forms. Called customer service at 888-777-3103 and after a long wait (20 minutes) got to talk to the best customer service rep (Karen) that I've ever had with any type of computer program. She was the best and corrected all of my Turbo Tax loading problems and saved my 2012 forms. Todays Turbo Tax started out Rocky but ended up Smooth.

We have been Turbo Tax users for many years and have been satisfied with this product. We plan on continuing using this software indefinitely.
What's great about it: The ease of use combine with a thorough analysis makes TT tough to beat

Its Almost Pleasant!!!

Turbo Tax makes filing my Federal and Wisconsin State Income Taxes as good as it can get.
I use my credit card for as many expenditlures as I can. I then download them into Quicken. I also use It's Deductable to estimate my Non Cash Charitable ontributions, and to document my cash and check Charitable contributions. I can update those files during the year.
When It's time to prepare my tax returns, I import those files into Turbo Tax, along with Investment transactions from MorganStanley. I still verify the imported data, but it's a very simple way to prepare and e-file my returns.
The PictureI included is how I look as I get the message that my return has been received electronically!!!
What's great about it: It's So Easy to Use
What's not so great: I Still Pay an Lot of Taxes
