REVIEW OF TURBO TAX 2012

I have used Turbo Tax for several years and it really makes doing your tax return easy. It is great that Turbo Tax inserts your personal data and imports financial data from your financial institutions so that it speeds up the process and helps to eliminate typos.
What's great about it: Instructions were clearly written and easy to understand. Also liked that I could import my data into the forms.
What's not so great: Didn't like the fact that I had to pay extra to e-file my state income tax return.

Love Turbo

I really appreciate how dumbed down turbo tax makes doing my taxes. we don't want to waste money paying someone else to do it for us but it is so nice to have a guided process like this. Thanks Turbo Tax!
What's great about it: quick, easy, and cheaper than an accountant!
What's not so great: I still have to pay taxes.

Process was easy, but there were a few situations where I'd click on the deduction link (I think it was a retirement deduction# to start it but it did not go anywhere. Just stayed in the same screen. It would have been nice if I was atleast told that that particular one would not apply in my case #AGI should be less than 46k). It was annoying and I started doubting whether I'm getting my full refund.
What's great about it: Very intuitive, tool tips are good
What's not so great: Tool tips are very generic not customized to my situation

Over all great program, would like to see the charity donations over hauled to different format

What's not so great: When there is an error found, not very user friendly fixing it or explaining the error

First time using tax software

This is the firs time i used tax software. i usually had either my parents or the tax office on base take care of my taxes. This year i decided to try Turbotax. The process for a first timer was a breeze. The import of my W-2 was fast and easy. The part that impressed me the most the simply explanations given for deduction and income questions. The while process was simple and i never felt confused or lost. I would definitely recommend this to anyone looking to their taxes with software.
What's great about it: Easy to import information and straight forward questions
What's not so great: None

Another Tax Year Filing Completed!

We sold our house, retired, and moved to a new state all in one year. Turbo-tax handled all 3 filings (Federal + 2 Sates) and the filing process went well - covering all the changes.
What's great about it: Easy to follow - come back where left off - copies of all forms and worksheets..
What's not so great: States didn't have the explanations for things like Federal forms did.
Pros: I moved, My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)
