Overall it worked very well. There was one minor glitch; it wasn't clear where to enter proceeds from a 529 Higher Education Plan. When I went back and did that (under other income), Turbo Tax neglected to apply American Opportunity and Lifetime Learning Credits for tution. After asking for help, I saw a response suggesting that I needed to delete the section addressing tuition expenses and reenter it becasue the order mattered.
This should be fixed or make it more clear where to enter 529 proceeds.

Found a few areas a tad difficult to maneuver, such as under income you ask about being in business. If you go that route you can get bogged down in info thats not germaine. In the past you went to K1s or schedule C which was less complicated than what you have now.

It's so nice to be able to use It's Deductible to calculate the value of items you donate to organizations like the Salvation Army and then just import the data into TurboTax for filing.
What's great about it: easy to import data
What's not so great: haivng to do your taxes

2nd time using, and I still get a little confused with simple dvidends and interests. I'm used to just adding the total on my 1020.

Turbo Tax Not Perfect

after E filing TT said you must mail forms. When I tried to print the required forms with Microsoft Works it refused to send them. I went to Adobe and am not certain that the required forms have been selected. TT has a mind of its own which is difficult to detect. I hope it is making the forms properly but I am not sure. It had me owing $2000 to the Feds and then after I corrected a double income entry of $12000 it dropped to $300. Weird.
In the past I could allow for CA and Porto Rico portion of GE Tax free incomeb for CA tax. This year no provision for this.
Turbo Tax needs work to improve it.

What's great about it: TT distibutes data to proper forms
What's not so great: TT has a mind of its own. Ido not trust what it presents. It won't transfer forms to my Microsoft Works

Good price. I don't have a lot of income - but it comes from multi sources. My investment profile is complex and Turbo Tax enables me to prepare my tax forms - otherwise I would have to hire someone to do it for me. I've used Turbo Tax for many years and although I've been audited several times - at no time was it caused by a Turbo Tax error. Only once was it my error - the remaining times the IRS was wrong. I hanled all audits by myself.
I plan to keep using your product.

More than 10 years of easy filing

I have been using TurboTax for more than 10 years and it is so easy to file my taxes. Although mine are not complicated, there are enough 1099, K-1, and other investments that require a lot of detail work.
I recommend(ed) this to friends and family. Best money spent on software. It always works as designed.
