We've been using TurboTax for years and it is accessible, helpful, reliable. Life changes don't throw us a curve with TurboTax - it's got us covered.
What's great about it: easy-to-understand instructions and answers
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Turbo tax is easy to use. The present U.S. government is not. Had to pay.

I really enjoy using Turbo Tax and have for years, but I always have that feeling that i just didn't do something correctly. I take my tim and answer all of the questions but I still wonder and the "help" is not always clear.
What's great about it: I can work on my taxes at home.
What's not so great: Some things are just not clear

Tenth year using turbo tax. It works like a dream and the error checking and efiling are a breeze.
What's great about it: Every scenario is covered
What's not so great: tough when you have personal and business income, but not a major negative

Most everything is explained in simple English... would be 5 stars except that some things could be explained in greater detail or simpler terms, and there are a few occasional figures that don't carry over from previous years when it seems they probably should. All in all, very easy to use and infinitely better than paying someone to plug in the numbers for you.

I was a bit afraid to file my own taxes. Now I wonder why I have not been doing so all along.
Turbo Tax made it easy from beginning to end. The organization of the program gave me confidence and the ease of E-Filing was awesome.

What's great about it: I felt like my hand was held by a pro every step of the way
What's not so great: Because i am retired, I receive a 1099-R and not a W-2. A good beginning question would be, "Are you retired?"
