TurboTax populates many supporting pages of information. It would be nice to see in a pop-up screen a form with all related pages/sheets that support a forms information. Currently I search through many of the data pages to find the ones of interest to me for a particular data entry.
What's great about it: Have used for years. It is mostly very comfortable to use.
What's not so great: May be nit-picking but did not seem quite as user friendly as last year.

Turbo Tax walks you through the process completely making it difficult to miss anything. Automatically completes the state form based on federal form. Takes time, but easy to follow and easy to correct mistakes along the way. Wish I had used Turbo Tax years earlier!
What's great about it: Thorough and Complete
What's not so great: Typing Everything
Pros: I bought or sold investments

Money Well Spent

We have been using Turbo Tax for 4 years and wouldn't think of using anything else. It is easy to use and by exploring each type of deduction helps you plan ahead for the next year so you know what you will need to collect throughout the year. I would highly recommend this to anyone who has the time and would like to save money on tax preparation.
The only downfall of this program is that it does not have an auto save feature if something like a power outage happens. I was completely done with my return, wanted my husband to review, and in the meantime the power went out (all in 10 minutes). I had to redo our taxes from start to finish which was frustrating. Lesson learned to save along the way.
What's great about it: Easy to use, explores all deductions
What's not so great: Doesn't automatically save if computer crashes
Pros: I had a baby, My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Have been using Turbo for several years this version worked quite well for me. Just wish Turbo had some quick tips on how to understand certain line items on the NJ tax return.
What's great about it: Helped me identify education credit I wouldn't have known
What's not so great: No state support

Multi-state filing
on April 3, 2013

Was very disappointed TTax did not properly handle my partial year residency in MO even though I indicated my residency dates on earlier forms. The MO form wanted to tax me on the full amount of income earned in both MI and MO. I had to manually determine which offsetting form to use to correct the amount due. TTax should have handle this situation.
What's great about it: was able to do MO and MI along with federal; TTax pulled info from last years filing which saved typing; ttax populate
What's not so great: TTax did not offer to process partial residency form (MO-CR or MO-NRI), which resulted in an incorrect amount due to MO.
