2012 Deluxe review

The federal tax part was great. However, the state part had some frustrating snags. I had to get help to get through it. It kept looping on installing and updating. With help from another user, I had to close out TT completely and reopen to get past this snag. Also, with the State part, I mistakenly omitted checking a portion and it had me paying over $200. Since I have NEVER had to pay state and actually made less this year, I went through it from the beginning several times and found the mistake myself and got back a refund of over $500. I have trusted TT to catch these mistakes that I don't understand. TT, you need to fix this. It really got me frustrated with TT this time.
What's great about it: Same great TT program for federal tax
What's not so great: State tax part had frustrating snags.

Turbo Tax makes filing your taxes very easy. I've used it for 10 or more years. The one time I used a different software package, I found it much more difficult and came back to Turbo Tax. If you HAVE to pay taxes, Turbo Tax is the only software package to use.
What's great about it: Very intuitive, easy to use
What's not so great: none

easy to fill out once you have all the information needed.
What's great about it: as usual it was easy to enter the information by hand
What's not so great: there were some things I didn't understand, and I just figured they didn't apply to me
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Have used it for 6 years now and wouldn't change a thing.
What's great about it: So easy. Hope to teach my 93 yr old Mother to use it next year
What's not so great: Only con is be convaluted tax code.

We Have A Refund!!!

This program is so easy to use. The only bad part was spending 5 hours to gather all the information needed for filing the long form. Turbo Tax makes filing the state tax a piece of cake!
