Fix NC Taxable Out of State Purchases

I do not want to enter EACH INDIVIDUAL out-of-state taxable purchase. I added up my total purchases which had not been taxed by the State of NC and entered them on one line. The program FORCED me to enter a legitimate date. I originally entered "ALL 2012" which it would not accept. I finally changed the date to 12/31/2012. The program should make some allowance for entering all of the purchases on one line. The program could ask the question "Do you want to summarize your annual 2012 purchases on one line?" The line could then be designated "Entire 2012" or "All 2012" or something similar.
What's great about it: I have used Turbo Tax for more than 10 years. This is my first year using e-file for the State of NC
What's not so great: North Carolina Use Tax Worksheet
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

I have used turbo tax in the past and probably do so in the future because of my familiarity with the software and because it is more user friendly than others I have used.
What's great about it: Good directions and titles
What's not so great: Somewhat difficult in going back and forth to make changes

2012 Turbo Tax Deluxe

I have used TurboTax for many years. It is very heplful to be able to carry info from one year to the next. The import feature has also saved me a lot of time. Pretty happy with the product. Their guidance through your taxes is getting better and is thorough. I will use it again next year.
What's great about it: Complete and usually helpful
What's not so great: You need to have faith that all the worksheet calculation are correct.

It wasn't as easy as I was led to believe. The one State efile, that I thought would be free, wasn't free. I spent too much for the program for a standard deduction after all. I just hope it all ended up right.

Simple Instruction Missing - Costs Time

No instruction to Double Click on Box to Get Required Worksheets on Mac version of Turbotax Delux.
Without double-clicking on the shaded box I could enter no numbers. It cost me an hour of struggling with the problem and an hour before Turbotax help by phone would finally solve the problem.
A simple instruction up-front would have made everything smooth.
