Turbo tax gets it done.

I have used Turbo Tax often. There was a year that my mother and I tried another competitive program and we were not sattisfied at all because it was very hard to understand and use. Turbo Tax has always been easy to use. It is set up so that if you do not have all your paperwork together you can continue and go back later. It gives you plenty of chances to review before filing. But I did think this year was a little off, maybe because of all last miniute changes by Congress. I didnt think the questions were as clear, not as many it seems like and I was afraid information would not be properly applied but it was after I looked at the forms. The help topics seemed shorter this year than previous years and when I tried to talk with someone all I got were other reviews and no support person to help answere a question I had this year about a rollover. Overall I will use Turbo Tax in the future because I know it is better than others.
What's great about it: The program overall is easy to use and I belive almost anyone with some computer knowledge can use this program.
What's not so great: Some of the questions are difficult to understand because accounting/tax language is used.

I have been an Intuit user for some time using the tax programs since it was called Personal Tax edge and have found it easy to navigate and simple to use, even for those who have never filed on their own before.

Very easy to use. The forms at your fingertips. Latest rules and forms updated each time you start the program so you can be assured when you elect to send them in they are the latest.
What's great about it: all the latest forms at your fingertips
What's not so great: had no problems
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Turbo Teriffic!!

Have used Turbo Tax for 8 years. This tax software gets easier to use each year & really does go step-by-step through every possible tax deduction! You can't go wrong using Turbo Tax. Very easy to file your return & the notification process keeps you up-to-date with the status of your return(s). This is the software to use, in my opinion.
What's great about it: Very easy to use; goes step-by-step to find all possible deductions; USE IT!!
What's not so great: No cons as far as I know.
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

last few steps of tubotax to printing and submitting tax return was confusing. Then I couldn't print page showing time and date I submitted return.

Some Glitches But a Great Time Saver

Did e-file for my mother-in-law this year and found it to be very easy. Only problems was goofy inclusions of data such as her social on the W-2 page requiring me to put in her last employer's zip and state. She is 98 and hasn't worked in over 60 years!!!
When I switched to forms, the program wouldn't allow me to remove this social security number.
Long time user and fan of Turbo Tax. I prefer to buy the disk at the store and then get uploads rather than trying to work through the cloud. Turbo Tax makes this increasingly difficult. Also don't like the frequent commercial messages for other products. Save these for the end or allow me to opt out. I'm already paying more for this software than for most others.
What's great about it: Step by step approach makes filing easy for me and my relatives.
What's not so great: As in past years Turbo Tax puts data in spots where it is not appropriate and requires a work around to move on.
Pros: I bought or sold investments
