This was done for my daughter and was quick and easy.
What's great about it: Loved having a question answered just shortly after I asked it. Helped so much knowing what to do with the form I had.
What's not so great: REally nothing, hope the next one is as easy.

This is the first time I've filed for a dependent that is attending college. The guide through the interview for details about where to account for various tuition, expenses and scholarships, etc. could may have been better than what I experienced.
What's great about it: Good interview sessions
What's not so great: Would be nice to have integrated ABA routing number lookup when picking my bank for deposits
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

1st time was a joy

This was my 1st time filing my taxes on my own. I'm so glad I used TURBO TAX. It walked me through everything and essentially allowed me to return a book I bought to teach me about filing my taxes. I will recommend this to all my friends.
What's great about it: Walked me through everything I thought I would have a concern about as a first time user. Easy to use.
What's not so great: It couldn't find my past return or any documents to autofill

The software fits my tax situation easily even though I have one of those returns that is somewhat outside the lines in that I had a both capital gains and K-1 reporting to do. Glad that I signed up years ago and will continue to be a customer.
What's great about it: Ease of Use
What's not so great: No Cons

Last years program easily went back & forth from Turbo Tax to the forms.
What's great about it: I think the program was easy to use & understand.
What's not so great: I liked last years program better.
Pros: I bought or sold investments

Federal was good but not state

Federal was straightforward with the exception of where the K-1 information was to be entered. State return was a little more confusing. I hope I did it right.
What's great about it: Got all the answers by following along
What's not so great: confused with K-1. It was mentioned more than once.

Overall, very easy to use and follow. Understood most of the directions very quickly. I like the summarization of the total tax due or refund amount as you progress through the document.
What's great about it: easy to understand, right to the point
What's not so great: some instructions too basic
