I have used Turbo Tax for 12 years and have never had a problem. I have always felt secure with the level of analysis that Turbo Tax applies to my taxes.
I like the way the man-machine interface is structured and I like the ability to start a return, stop, and go back later to continue.
I particularly like the ability to load financial data directly into Turbo Tax from the financial institutions that I deal with.
What's great about it: Easy to use, comprehensive, easy to start and stop and go back to.
What's not so great: None I can think of.

K-1 problem

Final review kept asking for me to fill in K-1 info when I indicated in step-by-step that there were no K-1s.

A refund just in time

I was impressed with the amount of information available to get you the best possible refund. I was allowed to go back and review areas that I was uncertain I had filled in properly

Faithful For Years

I have used Turbo Tax for years going back to the 90's. When my life and finances were more complicated and now that things are simple, Turbo Tax has provided the tax support that I have needed.
When I was setting up and selling mutual funds, setting up IRA's and then having to take the money out early, owning a business, married with children, then single with children, and many more financial challenges Turbo Tax always provided the answers and guidance that I needed through all of the events in my life. Life creates tax issues and Turbo Tax helped me through them all.
Additionally, the software has been so complete, clear, and thorough in coverage and presentation that I seldom had to call, and when I did have to call, the customer service was excellent. I have had no problems. This is why I still use Turbo Tax after all of these years.
P.S. I still have 3.5" disc. That dates me and Turbo Tax. Whether itemizing my taxes in the early years when my life was more complicated or now using the standard deductions, Turbo Tax has been good for me.
What's great about it: I like the step by step process and the many levels of review that are built in to the program.

Fed Tax Prep #101

I used to summarize my in-put tax documents and and give it to my Fed Tax Preparare, who would use Turbo Tax to complete my tax forms, and send me a big bill for his services. When I decided to use Turbo Tax to file my Fed Taxes, I can't tell you how simple and easy it was. I have been using Turbo Tax for over a decade with no problems, and no inquirers from the IRS. I really like the download feature that allows me to fast and accurately download my financial information...save me time and stress.
I don't know why everyone doesn't use Turbo Tax, it's that easy.

Use TurboTax every year

I've used TurboTax every year for about 10 years now and love it's ease and accuracy. I've tried those "Review your taxes" places and they didn't find me a dime that TurboTax hadn't gotten me!
I also help family prepare their taxes, so it really makes my life easier.
What's great about it: Easy, accurate

Simple and Understandable

As a whole, Turbo Tax is better than any of the competing products that I have seen. It is easy to use and reminds one of possible missed items. It also compares itemized deductions to last year in case anything was missed.
This is a great option for me
