Stress free tax preparation and filing

I have tried other on line and computer software tax preparation programs and this TurboTax 2012 was far ahead of the others. Highly recommend.
What's great about it: Easy step by step instructions
What's not so great: can't think of any
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Filing made Easy

I found that Turbo Tax covers most situations that the average tax payer will encounter. Its progression of categories and display of the prior year entries makes it easy to see what one has entered on their prior year return.
We were very satisfied with the layout of the software.
What's great about it: Turbo Tax 2013 is Easy for all
What's not so great: Switching from entries to Forms could be easier

TurboTax 1099-DIV tax exempt int. div. problem

Things went well until I started the TurboTax correction section at the end of the form. I couldn't input or correct the known problem in the TurboTax 1099-DIV tax exempt interest dividend section. When I inputed the requested information an additional payee was started in the form. I was trapped in a loop w more and more payees being formed w no way to delete them. I updated my TurboTax program etc but there was no way to proceed.
I then found fr going online that this was/is a known problem w TurboTax and I tried some of the solutions given by the public w no success. Plus no way given to contact TurboTax officially. Did go w phone number given online web sites but could never get through.
So I not only wasted several days of my time and finally had to bail out of the efile method and go w mailing in my forms. Plus I paid TurboTax for Fed plus State efiling.
What a waste. Don't know what I will do next year.

The step-by-step process is easy to navigate through and to complete the form. The e-mail process is a bit combersome and could be shortened.
What's great about it: Easy to understand through detailed steps to complete
What's not so great: charge to e-mail returns to the state

Finally Finished

I have used this Turbo Tax for several years now. It has never let me down. Every time I use Turbo Tax I choose the walk through option to make sure that I don't miss anything. Turbo Tax has reminded me of deductions that I had forgotten about, which provided me a larger tax return. I truly love this program! It makes filing your taxes easy and much more cost effective!
What's great about it: I love the way Turbo Tax walks you through every step of filing your taxes!
What's not so great: It takes a long time and you have got to have your paperwork straight.

Turbo the Work Horse

Another year of preparing my return and that of my relatives. It saved time with not having having to add and calculate by hand. It is also comforting to know that Turbo Tax has reviewed the returns. Thank You.
What's great about it: The arrangement of the items flowing with the IRS forms.

If you have a basic return with wages, investments, medical and other deductions, and dividends, then this is excellent. If you have K1's then inputting is a little more work. I would give it 5 stars except that it requires that you catagorize the K1 data well beyond what traded partnerships provide. I had many k1s and they were the majority of the work.
What's great about it: basic information goes into the sheets easily
What's not so great: K1's require a lot of work
