Good, could be better

Overall, solid. However, I am not thrilled with the nickel/dime costs in addition to the steep initial price. They basically hamstring the lower end versions and then grossly overcharge for the few tidbits of additional help you get with the more advanced ones. There were a few issues with it recalling past return info w/o really explaining where those numbers came from, requiring me to go back and figure it out myself. Overall, better than the others. Still could be improved.
What's great about it: layout easy to understand, helpful with most issues
What's not so great: requires one to go through several screens to edit things, ambiguous advice on depreciation

My husband and I are complete dummies concerning taxes. But we did it! Thank you Turbo Tax. We did it in a few hours and got the most of the money we deserve.

Good but still a bug or two

I had to drop a charitable donation to my university because it got hung up on PQ for Quebec and the zip code field could not handle letters. Missed $7 refund $ due to this.
What's great about it: Easy to use, like the way it walks you through the process
What's not so great: Cannot handle Canadian addresses

easy tax prep

Over all, Turbo Tax makes it easy for me to get my taxes done. Also, reminds me of deductions I might have forgotten.
What's great about it: runs through step by step
What's not so great: had trouble understanding 2 different states
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

I have been using Turbotax for many years now. Although I like it, overall, I find it sometimes inflexible. For example, based upon IRS requirements, I must file schedulle E to report royalties from the sale of one of my books. Turbotax absolutely would not allow me to do this, forcing me to complete Schedule C instead. I had to manually overide the system to complete my returns.
What's great about it: Overall, farily easy to use
What's not so great: Sometimes inflexible

Easy sneezy

I was confused about home and office deductions regarding mortgage interest, insurance etc. Double-dipped and the program did not warn me, but caught the mistake because it was obvious.
What's great about it: walks you through every item needed for filing
What's not so great: no problems with the software
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Great Product

Turbo Tax has been great for my family for the past 15 or so years. One year my husband and two children all lived and worked in different states (Montana and Idaho) throughout the year. Turbo Tax was my liifesaver.
What's great about it: I don't forget anything because you ask all the right questions
What's not so great: Federal refund had to be altered when distributing between my spouse and me
