Turbo Tax Deluxe - 2012

I like the transfer from one year to the next, but I don't like the fact that the soft ware isn't built upon a flexible services oriented architecture that is modular and scale able that would allow you to pull up prior year submissions with same software for that year. Right now if I want to open up a 2011 or 2010 file for income tax preparation, I have to keep the software that is downloaded for it each successive year to be able to retrieve older versions that needed to be viewed and potential amended.
What's great about it: EASY TRANSFER OF LAST YEARS DATA - STEP BY STEP WALK THRU
What's not so great: DON'T SEE VALUE OF PRINTING ANY RETURNS UNTIL IRS HAS VALIDATED THEM AS ACCEPTED--UNTIL THEN THEY ARE STILL DRAFT

Instructions relatively easy

I think a great number of people can complete their taxes themselves with the knowledge that it is correct and safely sent. I like the ease of loads and updates. The language is varily easy to understand. Not sure how to use the free call for question. Do like the search feature when encountering special forms.
What's great about it: Step by step guide through the entire process
What's not so great: some areas get a little confusing if you have some of the special forms

Flakey, Unstable, and Inconsistant

Lots of problems with deleting Schedule C's. Delete it on the Federal side and it sticks around as an Untitled job on the State side. State side had to get the form manually deleted. Also, very crash prone.
What's great about it: Easyish walk through steps.
What's not so great: Problems with propagating Fed to State properly
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Great and Easy to Use

This year was by far the easiest to use of turbo tax. Took me an hour to do my whole return. Found no errors. Gave charity donations to a homeless shleter, and was surprised how easy it was to enter. Past year never did that, wish I had.
What's great about it: Simplifies taxed, the deduction software was simple
