New Mexico has prescribed order of assembling state return. TurboTax does not delineate the required order.
What's great about it: Being able to move from section to non-sequential section.
What's not so great: State instructions do not include assembly instructions.

Making taxes easy

I've used TurboTax for many years now, and it gets better every year. The online help has continued to deepen, the user interface gotten even cleaner, and the psychological bang of watching the refund (hopefully!) increase with each section entered really helps keep me moving forward through the process.
What's great about it: Fairly clear explanations of items; easy to see what is left to enter
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

I love turbo tax! As a former tax preparer for a local CPA I find the program to be very user friendly.

This was the 1st year I did not use an accountant. Turbotax took the stress out of taking on the daunting responsibility of understanding our tax code
What's great about it: High degree of detail organized and presented in digestable components
What's not so great: Difficut to print my copy of state return without printing federal return
Pros: I bought or sold investments

Easy and Thorough

Turbo tax is by far the easiest and most thorough software I've used to file my taxes. In addition to all of the standard questions, it also reviews previous returns to identify any changes from year to year.
What's great about it: Easy. Also reviews against past filings to identify changes you might not realize

Torpedoed to the stars my refund

Anyone that doesn't avail themselves to using Turbo Tax needs to give it a try. They will not be dissapointed. I have used this program for as long as I can remember and have always been surprised at the updates and clarity of Turbo Tax. Try it; you'll LOVE it.
What's great about it: Help is always available when you need more information. Instruction precise and straight forward. Easy to understand.
What's not so great: That I didn't come up with this program myself

Our return is moderately complicated with some very specialized elements to consider. Turbo Tax really makes it possible for a non-accountant type like me to do my own return with confidence.
I really like the way that the running results show the effect of each entry.
A truly user friendly product.
What's great about it: Great prompts that helped me get it all covered.
What's not so great: Some items slipped by the first time, but were found on a second look.
