Fast and Easy

I read slow and Turbo Tax greatly limits the amount of legal reading I have to do. I also do not need to re-enter anything that I have already entered even it the government requires the info on both Fed and State returns. I also don't have to worry about typing anything in wrong when I can pull most of the info from online. I love the audit monitoring/checking too!
What's great about it: Not a lot of reading

Easier Every Year!

I love how TurboTax autofills prior information (employers, childcare providers, charities), so all you have to do is verify your current information. The side-by-side comparison of last year's info is also very helpful, as it allows me to see credits or deductions I may have skipped.
What's great about it: Easy to Use
What's not so great: Still have to decipher tax lingo, but at least it's at your fingertips!

Great Refund

Being on the leading edge of the boomers I found some areas very unclear regarding retirement pensions and had to go back over it several times before I felt comfortable with my entries.
What's great about it: Initally easy to use

So Easy to Use

I love how easy it is to walk through all of the income and deduction screens/options. It made it easy to fill out my return, I was confident I did not miss anything, and I was able to simply e-file and done! About an hour start to finish.
What's great about it: Easy to Understand, Fast to file
What's not so great: State e-file fee not included

Nice user interface

I like the interview session format. I know it is difficult, especially with how complicated the tax law has become, to make the interview session all inclusive of every situation. Being the first year my one son was in college, I did struggle a bit with what information needed to be included for certain educational expenses (i.e. what was included in tuition and requisite expense vs. what would be considered "materials", such as a computer that is a requisite of enrollment). Other than that, everything seemed to be familiar from when I used Turbo Tax the last couple of years.
What's great about it: Good interview sessions
What's not so great: Would be nice to have integrated ABA routing number lookup when picking my bank for deposits
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Unexpected filing fees negate any convenience

We'll find avenues that don't charge as much for state returns programs and for transmitting state returns next year.
What's great about it: preparation of worksheets is handy

Easy

I've used Turbo Tax for the last several years. I prefer to buy the package rather than use the free on line site, it feels safer. It's easy but you can still make a mistake. I like the back button. Turbo Tax is easy.
