Was disappointed when capital gains form was not ready. And, even after I received the email that it was ready, it would not download. After waiting several days, I was finally able to complete my return and file. Also, one area that kept coming up on the "error review" would not let me delete the zero. It kept wanting a description of that zero amount. Frustrating. In the end, I have been using Turbo Tax for over 15 years and love it.

When I got to the error check section Turbotax put me into a loop that when I tried to correct what it was saying was wrong it would not correct and it would not let me out of the loop. I finally found on the internet that tons of other people were having the same problem and recommend eliminating the figure in box 10 in the dividends section. This worked, but why didn't Turbotax fix it when so many people were experiencing this problem? My next problem was brought on by me. Three days after I e-filed I recieved another Form 1099-R for a small life insurance policy that my wife cashed in that we forgot about. It was for $486, but when I did an ammended form Turbotax raised my taxes by $426. THAT CANNOT BE RIGHT. I checked the tax table and it should have gone up $125. I'm going to have to print a form 1040X off the IRS web-site and do the ammended
filling on paper myself. I have used Turbotax for 7 years , but this will be my last!

the only thing I would like to see, when putting in tax info, it would be nice to let you flip the form to see where you are on the tax form

my experience

ill use them again, when i get married but they helped me learn how to do it my self. if you don't want to do your taxes or go pay some one to do it, use turbo tax, its fast and very easy! i loved everything but the price, i don't feel it was fare.
What's great about it: fast easy very simple
What's not so great: little expensive for how simple it was to actually do my taxes
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I moved
