Great software

I really appreciate the TurboTax software. With the ever-changing tax laws, you can feel some level of confidence that you are following the laws but also taking advantage of deductions and credits that are within the law.
The software doesn't relieve you of the arduous tasks of keeping records and summarizing your expenses. But it does give you peace of mind that the mind-boggling calculations are correct on your return.
What's great about it: Complete and fast. Calculations done for you.
What's not so great: Need to know your special circumstances and when to say yes or no to a question.
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Using Turbo Tax

The return itself turned out to be simple, it would be good if I only had to look at those sections that I filled out this year next year.. I was filling out my very eldderly mothers return.

I have used Turbo Tax for at least ten years. The software seems to get better every year. I particularly appreciate the Q&A approach combined by hints that help me remember things.
What's great about it: comprehensive, user-friendly, cost effective process

Great Product

Although I have used Turbo Tax for years, this year's "edition" had many improvements. It was so simple to follow and I understood every step. I especially liked the ability to print preview the forms that I checked prior to printing. This enable me to save paper as I only wanted certain documents printed. I have no "cons". It went faster this year than any previous year.
What's great about it: Easy to understand and follow.
What's not so great: none

My Turbo Refund

if your spouse messes with investments, this product rules out the headache of trying to figure cost basis, shares, etc. Just import the info, TTax plugs it into the right place, and voila! You're done and no arguments! It's the best!
What's great about it: Downloads directly into TTax
What's not so great: surprise fee for state, when the box says it's included...I was used to this, but my friend was floored

Comparison to last year

Like last year, I was entitled to 1 free state filing. And like last year I did not get it. I did not check the box at the beginning of the state filing which asked me if I wanted to get a free state filing. Instead, I wanted to work on my taxes before I checked that box. However, I could not go back and check the free state filing after I completed my tax entries for the state.
Even though I continue to purchase Turbo Tax, the process to REALLY start over is not as easy as it should be.

Quick and Easy

I really feel like for the first time I am receiving a refund that I deserve. I am now taking advantage of student loan tax reductions because of the guidance of this program!
What's great about it: Presented every possible deduction I could take advantage of!
What's not so great: Wish we could do local taxes with this program

First Substantial Refund

Turbo tax did a wonderful job this year of helping me through my complicated tax return. With selling of stocks and mutual funds it made it a breeze to input the information that was necessary.
What's great about it: The ease of use and the searchign for credits
What's not so great: Constantly ushered back to a single page just to click n next
