This is the best way for me to process our taxes. No appointment to keep, Reviews done to be sure I did not miss anything. Especially like the fact that the program questions changes to be sure that is what I want to do.
What's great about it: Good Explanations, Time Saving, Prompts helped processing

My Review of the World's Premier Tax Soft:TURBOTAX

I have used TurboTax for over ten years. It is a great piece of software. It is easy to use, intuitive; flexible, comprehensive in nature and easy to learn. The online community is great for feedback on tax treatments.
I RECOMMEND IT HIGHLY! iT HAS SAVE ME TONS OF MONEY ON ITEMS THAT I WOULD HAVE MISSED INCLUDING IN MY TAXES THAT I LEGITIMATELY HAD COMING TO ME.
What's great about it: Easy to use; always accurate; very flexible; intuitive to use.

Makes tax preparation easy. Importing of previous year's return simplifies the process. Program walks you through each section, with the option to skip over sections that don't apply to your particular situation.
It is a minor con, but it would be nice if after selecting not to eFile your state return, the program would give you the option of entering direct deposit information before printing the return.
What's great about it: Guides you step by step through tax preparation
What's not so great: When filing paper copy of state form, doesn't support printing of direct deposit info. Must be hand written on return.

CT exempts from state tax all income from federal bonds,etc.Your program did not take that into account- I had to alter my CT tax manually

Easier than I thought!

I found it was easier to file Fed/State this year, than last, with TurboTax. However, it would be nice to have a "reminder" when you start, of all the documents and other personal info you might need. I.E., a list of all charitable gifts (names & addresses, too), prescription costs, medical bills, banking R/T and acct. #, landlord/mtg co. name/address, 1099's, W-2's (I know, should be no-brainer), etc.
Those were the only things that took me additional time to collect after I'd started.
What's great about it: I didn't have to do all the extra things for efiling that I've had to do in the past.
What's not so great: It would be nice if you'd start out with a list of everything you'll need to start and finish your taxes. Bank info, etc
