EASY as can be!

I love Turbo Tax, have been using it ever since it first came out as MacInTax! Great product.
What's great about it: The easy step process is great.
What's not so great: I couldn't find where to input the safety deposit fee.

Fantastic Job

This is the second time I am using Turbo Tax. A very excellent way to do taxes. It reduces the amount of time needed and stores information from last year. The method is very thorough and leads the user through each of the steps in the process. The format allows you to go back to make any additions or corrections and then automatically updates all the areas affected. A super job well done!!!
What's great about it: Efficient, thorough, and time saving
What's not so great: Had trouble with only one area trying to get a state ID # that was not existent.

Quick, easy...even a little fun

Even though I was a little hesitant trusting a computer program to file my taxes, with a 13-month-old in the house I couldn't find much time to sit down and spread out to file them by hand. Using the program is idiot-proof, in my book--I know I've made a lot of mistakes filing my taxes alone and by hand in the past. TurboTax caught any mistakes I made, and they alerted me to deductions I didn't know I qualified for. If the program asked a question I found confusing, the helpful explanations were written in plain English which unpacked the baffling government-speak so that I knew whether or not I qualified.
One of my favorite elements of the program is that you can move fairly freely through the process--if you are waiting on some particular information, you can set a little reminder flag on the return (think: an electronic sticky note) so that you don't forget to go back to that page after you've received the information you needed. This makes it incredibly easy, particularly if you know you won't be able to file your taxes in one sitting.
Bottom line: if you are not in a position to hire a tax expert to prepare your taxes for you, TurboTax is absolutely the next-best-thing. I won't ever file by myself again.

Great for do it yourselfers

I've used Turbotax for years with the exception of using H&R block for two years because of disaster events caused by the flood of 2008. Using this software was instructional and increased my awareness of how my taxes are calculated and what I can do to reduce them.

i've used turbo tax for a number of years now and am very satisfied. taxes are not the nightmare they used to be and so far i've been happy with the results.
