The program was easy to follow. Doing it the old way I always
felt I missed something. Well done, I'll see you next year.
You'll have free e-file for state by then, right?
What's great about it: For the math impaired,tells you what you need, no worries about missing anything or any forms.
What's not so great: Should include free e-file for state.

This basic is easy to follow for married couples to just fill in the numbers.My grand kids can even do that..I have my son and other relatives using turbo tax and get good results. Just remember to keep records beginning to end of the year. No problem when income tax preparation comes around.
What's great about it: Simple and precise.
What's not so great: Nothing I can,t complain about.

It Could be Worse

Requires that you delete forms that are not applicable this year but might be next. I hate to have to rekey the info next year if it is needed. Would be nice to have a not-this-year-thank-you option for forms.
What's great about it: Imports infor from last year
What's not so great: Gives pointless errors

A must for seniors

Comprehensive. Covers just about every conceivable tax situation that you could possibly think of. Prompts assure coverage of often forgotten and/or ignored criteria which impacts your end tax result. Lead in needs a message to tax preparer to inform him/her that file will be saved automatically if you leave site. For a quick response to the IRS ,this is the way!!
What's great about it: Great prompting
What's not so great: Needs a short message detailing how to get back to report after you leave page for inquiries.

Simplicity

I've been using Turbo Tax for years because it is simple to use. I appreciate that the software pulls in my basic info from my previous year return, that it guides me through the various categories and that it lets me know whether something applies to me or not. While I could probably go through on my own, I feel it is a good double check to ensure I don't miss something. I also like the comparison with my previous return so I can review a topic if there is a significant change. Will continue to use!
What's great about it: Ease of use, easy answers when I wanted more info, walk throughs when I wanted them, ability to save as PDF
What's not so great: Asks me if I want to check for updates even if I just did.
