What's great about it: Easy to use
What's not so great: None
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Show me the fees up front.

I have used Turbotax before, and unless I am remembering wrong the fee for E-filing state returns was always presented along with the option, not after I had everything ready. Moreover, I had to move back through the entire filing process, I couldn't select the individual step I needed to change, then back to filing my federal return. I realise I sound cheap. I've already paid for the software and I don't make a lot of money. I can't afford to drop a tenth of my State refund to E-file it.
What's great about it: Simple and easy as always
What's not so great: Fee for Efiling state was not mentioned until I was ready to file.

Can be improved

Turbotax definitely makes tax filing easier, especially for the state tax return. But it does have some quirks. For example, it has never liked the Tax ID number assigned to me by NYS as a sole proprietorship, and I actually had to remove the number from my return to file electronically this year. In the past, Turbotax has allowed me to file with the number. Also it's hard to find some topics, as to how to change your bank account for direct deposit. In fact, there was someone else's bank account information in my return this year. Perhaps some better security is needed.
What's great about it: Ease of entering most information
What's not so great: Rigid when it comes to some information, hard to find some "how to" topics

I have used TurboTax for over 15 years to do my taxes. I feel confident that they filed correctly and I will receive my refund in days vs. weeks.
What's great about it: Only took 2 hours and most of that was finding my documents

quick tax

Turbo tax is simple and quick to use, if you use the follow directions format. very fast and accurate until the printing and file section. Would be more helpful to tell you exactly how many pages are to be printed. it seemed like the pages came out of the printer forever. other wise very good program.

Everything went well. The personel stuff from last year went on this years form and it kept tract of last years inputs.
