Rocked my Refund

I always used turbo tax for my taxes as it makes the process for me a lot smoother and quicker to get a fast tax return.
What's great about it: Excellent Tax assistant and will use again next year!!!

Easy as Pie

My tax info doesn't change much from year to year, so having the previous year's info pulled in automatically is a great start. Then I scan the entries to add or remove the few things that have changed. I can do it piecemeal over time, coming back to add or adjust amounts or info as it comes in. Once I get everything in, the final checks are quick and then I can e-file automatically. It sure takes the pain and worry out of filing my taxes.
What's great about it: Remembers my last year's info

Turbo Overview

All in all, Turbo is at least as good as any software I've used to file taxes. I'd have no trouble recommending it for the use of others.
What's great about it: I felt more confident that details were acurate than with previous software used for taxes.
What's not so great: It was more challenging to locate the details of particular concerns than with other software used.

Oh What A Relief It Is!

Newly divorced, 1st time I have filed taxes in 30 yrs! I was very apprehensive. Sold the house, education fees - lots of problems. Not with Turbo Tax! They walked me through. Thanks!
What's great about it: simple, simple, simple!!!
What's not so great: n/a
Pros: I moved, My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

It was a bit confusing when I was ticking off the boxes after entering my 1099-R info.
What determines "retirement age" as in ' Pension/IRA distributions received before retirement age? I retired and started to receive a pension at 54.

What's great about it: easy to follow, carried over pertinent info from 2011 returns
What's not so great: had a bit of trouble with the different terms under pension/1099-R
Pros: I bought or sold investments

Circular processes

This was frustrating in some places, but I guess that is the name of the game when doing taxes. In some sections it was actually fun. But there are still too many times when the next step is not transparent. And each year I get upset about printing out pages I dont need.
What's great about it: I did get it done without having to pay a pro.
What's not so great: Why do I have to print out pages not used? Why can't I pick the pages to print? LTC deduction was circular.
