i have used this program several years and i find it to be quick and easy. it is a little pricey if you need to download more than the free state plus thenpaying to efile.
What's great about it: quick and easy

Easy to follow Program

suggest ability to compare to previous years filing, and a way to know how close you are to itemized deductions or standard deduction and benefit one way or the other.

A Few Frightening Moments

All things considered, Turbo Tax is still at the top of my list as the easiest tax program. Year after year it has been a breeze with the ease of data transfer. I do wish that the program had reminders throughout the data entry sections for many reasons; accidental shut down for one of many. Caution.. don't forget to save data other than the pdf file. I didn't save periodically and at end of the session I saved my return in pdf and when the program asked if I wanted to save it again I just thought that was overkill because I had just saved it!. Unfortunately I didn't realize it was a different format.. lost the data and had to retype it all.. That's my only complaint and this is the first year that I have ever lost my data. A reminder now and then would be appreciated.
What's great about it: The ease of transferring data is at the top of my list!
What's not so great: I lost my data! No reminder to SAVE other than pdf file at the end..

Good, but unable to E-file

This is the second year I've used TurboTax, and both times I was unable to E-file because, during the final check before E-filing, the program kept insisting that I fill in a US address for my foreign employer (which I had earlier marked as "not having a US address"). Both years, I gave up and simply mailed in my forms. Since the program included the cost of E-filing, I feel a tiny bit ripped-off. I had to eventually pay the cost of mailing a hefty tax form back to the states.
What's great about it: Easy

What is there not to like about Turbo Tax? Easy Guide walks you through each section, explains and defines each item comprehensively, and allows you to work through as many sections as possible at your own pace, then save and return later if not yet complete. When you return, it is simple to tell where you left off, which items still require further review, and tips are included to ensure nothing is overlooked. The error check is a reassuring tool for the DIY tax preparer. Turbo Tax takes the stress out of preparing and filing your taxes yourself, the process is nearly effortless!
What's great about it: Simplicity, no headaches
