TurboTax Deluxe

TurboTax has become the de facto standard in tax preparation software due to its thoroughness and well thought out interface. The user does not have to be a tax expert to be able to use the software and some fairly sophisticated situations are handled effortlessly. I tried the phone help for the first time in 15 years and it was VERY useful.
What's great about it: Easy to use and intuitive - great help when required
What's not so great: sometimes a bit difficult to find obscure things

have used turbo tax for years. when i first started i did my taxes manually and via Turbo Tax. TT saved me monies I could not find on my own and I have been happy using TT for the whole family for over 10 years now.

Easy to use every year!

I've been using Turbo Tax for several years now. I like Turbo Tax because all the information transfer each year so it's much easier after the first year. The deductibles are very detailed and helpful. I also like the option of an easy guide and exploring on my own.
What's great about it: All data transfer from one year to next and deductions are excellent!
What's not so great: Very detailed so it takes a while to go through everything sometimes

It is not any more an easy step by step navigation in the case I need to return to certain place as it was before
What's great about it: Easy going process
What's not so great: the program lost easy navigation which was there a couple years ago

Easy to File

I can complete both our federal and state returns in one day using Turbo Tax. Because our computer crashed this year we lost the three previous year's records - but had printed copies and re-entering basic data is a snap with Turbo Tax. You've got it all covered -- thanks for the expert help!
What's great about it: My computer crashed several months ago so I lost previous years' Turbo Tax returns but inputting my info was easy!
What's not so great: This year's version seemed more difficult to access tabs in fed and state returns
