I have been using Turbotax for many years, it is the easiest and most in depth program on the market--more than worth the price to max out your refund.
What's great about it: Easy step by step entry of data

I would like to simply enter the miles driven for managing my rental business. Do not need a worksheet to tell me that its best to take standard mileage deduction. I have complained about this in previous years as well.
What's great about it: Intuitive interaction and clear explainations
What's not so great: Have to complete vehicle depreciation form in lieu of mileage

Overall great experience. Very easy to input information and questions were easily answered.
What's great about it: Ease of use
What's not so great: State Tax descriptions were a little difficult to understand.
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Some of my IRA entries should have been straightforward. But, when it came to entering them into the proper fields, some problems kept showing up. It turns out that the programming didn't handle my situation very well (converting to Roth IRA). It should have been something I could enter on my own. However, when I did run into problems, I was able to call some very patient, helpful people who just happen to be excellent tax specialists. They got everything back in order, and I got the return finalized. Now, my refund is on its way. I chose Turbo Tax because of the live help. I'm really glad I did.
What's great about it: Personal help when you need it.
What's not so great: Some of the programming could be improved.
Pros: I moved, My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I bought or sold investments

Why Turbotax

An excellent program with real human backup. I have been totally content with this product and don't forsee me ever changing.
What's great about it: I have been using Turbo for 14 years and have never experienced any problem from the program or the IRS.
What's not so great: Turbotax costs money and I would like it for free. But I don't mind paying money.

The program is easy to load, update and use. The program is intuitive to direct you to all the necessary forms and calculation necessary to file and accurate and complete tax document. I would definitely and have recommended this to all my family and friends. I have used this product for 15 years.
What's great about it: easy step by step process
What's not so great: not sure if there are
