Tax Season Mainstay

Turbo Tax gives me confidence that "I've left no stone unturned" in the search for all appropriate deductions. It is very thorough, yet not overwhelming. When you've completed and filed your return, you know, from hands-on experience, that audit reasons have been minimized to the fullest extent reasonably possible. TT's 'completeness' and 'audit' reviews help ensure the most thorough and accurate filing experience.
What's great about it: Straightforward, thorough, accurate, fully reliable tax preparation
What's not so great: If filing your own returns is anxiety-inducing and you have cash to spare for a preparer, TT may not be for you.

Gets better every year

I have used TurboTax since 1999. Every year it gets better. I rarely get a refund, but I always know that TurboTax helped me pay what I owe, and not a penny more! I recommend it to all of my friends.
What's great about it: User-friendly, makes sense, keeps me sane

Easy for College Student to Complete

Relatively easy and straight forward
What's great about it: Easy to use
What's not so great: Handling scholarships took a little time to figure out as it assumed Pell grants were received which was not accurate.

Turbo tax is not user friendly with Massachusetts retirees being confused and bewildered at the handling of state tax info. I am a miltary as well as state retiree and my wife is a state retiree. TT wanted to make me a CSA1099 and confused the program. It was a pain to go back and relist all the information to make it work.
What's not so great: Program was unable to handle the exempt status of my refund

2012 Returns

I was very happy with the ease of this year. I expected to get hit with lots of crazy changes that I wouldn't have understood but was very happy with how smooth it all went.
What's great about it: Was very easy this year
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

TurboTax Rocks!!

TurboTax is a GREAT tool for filing taxes! It has all the explanations of all the little things and a step-by-step wizard in completing taxes. It is very easy to use! If I didn't have TurboTax, filing taxes would be MUCH harder for me! I enjoy watching the values of the refunds change as I progressed in completing the taxes! Thanks!

Very user friendly!

The sections were very organized and the questions were detailed and clear. The examples and explanations made it that much easier to use.
What's great about it: Transitions between sections were smooth. Overall the process was easy.
What's not so great: I'm visual... pictures of the forms would help, especially when referring to a specific section
