I asked a question to turbo tax community, but then even when I logged in and searched for it, couldn't find it.
Couldn't find easily details on what counted as a major purchase for sales tax deduction.
What's great about it: Like the easy step by step review
What's not so great: Help wasn't usually detailed enough

I have used turbo tax for several years, and believe it to be the best tax program available at retail. However, it is not perfect. I have found that imputing multiple state W-2's to be confusing at times, resulting in duplicate income amounts on returns. This has required manual correction after a review at the form level. They have improved this somewhat, but it remains an issue in my opinion. Overall, I give turbotax high marks.
What's great about it: Very comprehensive

It felt awkward sometimes trying to find entries on the actual "tax forms".
K-1 forms were difficult to figure out -- and come out correctly!
What's great about it: A lot filled in from last year's Turbo Tax
What's not so great: Can't print out individual pages to review in my hand!
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I bought or sold investments

I have been using TurboTax for more years than I can remember and recommend it to everyone I talk to.
What's great about it: Fast, Easy, Accurate and Peace of Mind
What's not so great: None so why wouldn't you use it

Better than the other

I used HR for years prior to this. After running into a problem getting copies of a previous filing I gave this program a try. I will not go back. It helped me find and cost out deductions that I didn't know I could get. The overall ease of use and help in the program was great.
What's great about it: Deduction Finder
What's not so great: None

From the first step of importing last years information to the saving and printing this is such an easy program to work with.
All the step by step questions are thorough and because of view forms I can see directly what is going on in the tax document.
Since I am a freelance musician next year I will be going with the version that step by steps through my business items.
What's great about it: So easy a musician can do it...
What's not so great: some line instructions not there in state forms
