I have been using turbotax for several years. I feel it is the best home software tax program available. However, it is not perfect. I've noticed that the comp,letion of W-2 info, when 2 or more stet return are involved; slightly ambiguous directions can cause duplicate income to be posted. They have improved this somewhat, but I have found it still occurs, and require manual correction at the form level. Overall, I give the program hiogh marks.
What's great about it: Very comprehensive
What's not so great: Seems to trip over itself when more than 1 state return is involved

Easy Return!

Love using Turbo Tax! I have used it for several years. Even though my old computer crashed and I didn't have the documents to import from last year still didn't take too long! Much better than sitting and waiting in line or making an appointment for someone else to do them for me.
What's great about it: Step by step fail-safe instructions

Feel confident

I have used turbo tax for about 5 years now and have had a good experience with it each time. It is nice to have the confidence that I can file then just forget about it except to check for the refund deposit. All has gone well.
What's great about it: All entries were easy and having the previous brought forward simplifies all.
What's not so great: One place that I did not see my split IRA conversion tax from 2011. concerned but it showed up later.

I have used TurboTax since 2000 and won't change.
What's great about it: I enjoy not having to fill out forms longhand
What's not so great: Have to wait sometimes on forms like energy credits, but that is the FEDs fault, not turbotax

Turbo Tax is a great program for anyone who wants to dive in and try to do their taxes on their own. Some areas were a little complex for me and I had to do a lot of reading. Not sure how you connect with the Turbo Tax experts, but I like that they do offer that option. If my taxes get any harder, I will have to go back to a CPA though! Some of the tax talk is way above me!
What's great about it: Love how Turbo walks you through everything with help topics
What's not so great: Capital Gains talk is not my cup of tea!

I love TurboTax and recommend it to everyone.
What's great about it: Easy to use and file. Questions are always answered or referenced where to go for more info.
What's not so great: I have been using this since the 90's and refuse to use any other program. I have no cons.

The program makes it easy to do it on your own and you do not have to pay BIG money for someone else to file them.
What's great about it: Easy to use. Did not have to leave my house.
What's not so great: I owe money (not TurboTaxes fault)
