An easy and complete program for doing taxes

I have prepared tax returns for myself, family and friends for a number of years as well as professionally clients. TurboTax is a complete and easy-to-use software program that is easy to follow and is as complete as any tax program I have used.

Good tax program

I have used Turbo Tax for years and really like the program. It pulls data in from the previous years returns, which ensures that I don't miss anything. This was a small problem for me this year. I had a unique situation a couple of years ago. When I ran the error check it showed that I had not filled out a certain schedule, which was not needed this year. It took me a while to figure out how to delete this form.
I will be using Turbo Tax again next year!
What's great about it: Easy to follow
What's not so great: Confused with entries from previous tax years

Completed before the deadline!

It was very easy, with the interview method, to go to each topic and complete it. If you are interrupted, it was easy to go back to where you left off and resume the tax return. It was also easy to do the Federal and State filing of the completed returns. All in all, TurboTax makes filing your return as painless as it can be and for a reasonable cost.
What's great about it: Organized and had explanations where needed. No Worry about addition errors.
What's not so great: Well, I would like the cost per year to be less!

No Stress

Using Turbo Tax has made doing taxes so much easier than flipping through the tax pubs, especially on the "state" level. Once I had gathered all the forms and information needed, it was a time, money, and sanity saving experience.
What's great about it: Very user friendly
What's not so great: Updates, could have had better details of their subject
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

What's great about it: Step-by-step works very well - form mode is easy to use
What's not so great: K-1s sometimes are difficult. Locating where an entry flowed from could be made easier

Itemizing deductions can be a really confusing process. Turbo Tax really helps in identifying what and how much can be deducted. It used to take me a full week to do my taxes - now I can do them in one day and be more confident that I covered everything and got the math right.
What's great about it: Really helped identify what I could deduct
What's not so great: Nothing to do with Turbo Tax

Made it Easy

Found Turbo tax easy to follow and use. Since this is my fourth year using the program all previous information was brought forward and was correct. Thus saving a lot of research time.
