Totally Turbo!

I LOVE using Turbo tax to file my own taxes. I have been using Turbo tax for the past 6 years and I have never been happier when filing my federal & state tax return. It is so user friendly and fast! Having them check it over to make sure I have not made any mistakes is very reassuring. I also find the audit risk indicator beneficial! I won't ever consider doing my taxes any other way! :)
What's great about it: user friendly, fast and rest assured they are correct

I'm SO grateful that Turbo Tax software can import from other financial institutions! It allowed me to not be as worried about entering the wrong or incomplete data.
What's great about it: Carry overs from the previous year is a Great benefit =). And the Review process gives me piece of mind.
What's not so great: NONE!

Turbo Tax is a perfectly adequate tax program, but it has its way of doing things, and you shall not (easily) deviate from it. The step-by-step interview process is great for the first run-through, but when you want to go back and review individual entries, it isn't always easy to find which section some of the more esoteric items are buried in.
Also, if you pay estimated tax, Turbo Tax desperately wants to print your vouchers for you, even if you'd prefer it didn't. It will also insist on printing them for you unless you specifically tell it not to. If anything, Turbo Tax is almost too helpful for the experienced user.
What's great about it: Seems to be reasonably accurate.
What's not so great: Is overly helpful, even when you don't want it to be.

Best tax program out there!

First, I do NOT like filing taxes nor do I understand the IRS lingo. This program makes it easy for the "regular" person to do their taxes. It does not take long to process and if you need to stop (to research something), you can save the file and come back to it when you are ready.
What's great about it: The ease of use for the "normal" person
What's not so great: Need better information for the OTR truck drivers

My 2 Cents

I found out that my Federal return did not get filed when I filed my State. It appeared that they both went at the same time. I have already received my refund from State and was just going to check on my Federal and could see now the error. Turbo Tax needs to have something pop up on the screen to tell you, before you close the screen, what your current status is (you have not completed this process/you have filed only 1 state return/you have filed a federal return). I should have received my refund by now. Sadly, I will be waiting once again.

Easy to use and follow. I like the step-by-step process. A few ambiguities when working through the self-employed facets (wages & deductions) for the first time.
