TurboTax Simplifies the Tax Filing Process

The download feature for Securities was really helpful to me, since it loaded all of my security info (costs, basis, etc) for me, which saved me some time. My only problem issue was that the Oklahoma State Return did not generate the "Interest Qualifying for Exclusion" amount, and did not give me a screen for inputting the total (it reduced my state refund by $6).
What's great about it: Download feature for investment info
What's not so great: My State Return was missing the "Interest Qualifying for Exclusion"
Pros: I bought or sold investments

So fast!

I usually have an emotional meltdown doing my taxes, but my parents bought Turbo Tax this year and I finished so quickly I didn't have time for my annual meltdown. I finished my taxes so fast everyone thought I didn't do it right, but I did. It was very easy and explained everything thoroughly. I wish my family had purchased Turbo Taxes years ago, we could have saved so much time and energy!
What's great about it: fast and easy
What's not so great: nothing
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I moved

No Sweat!

The hardest part is gathering up the required paper work needed to file after that it is a breeze. Turbo holds your hand and you feel at ease during this stressful stuff!
What's great about it: Mostly ease of use for a super senior! You know we are easy to confuse.
What's not so great: None at the moment

When you purchase an all-inclusive tax filing application like TurboTax Deluxe, you shouldn't have to pay extra again just to e-file the returns. When you buy this program, I expect, you plan on e-filing your returns. I would be willing to pay up-front to not have to create another online account just to pay for the state e-file. Just include it in the base cost of the application.
The program is really easy to navigate, and the entries are intuitive. I like the year-to-year pre-fill that Turbo Tax gives me so I don't have to remember PIN's for filing or "prior year AGI".
Definitely will buy again and again for the following years.
What's great about it: easy to navigate interface
What's not so great: you have to pay extra to e-file the state return

Used Turbo Tax Several Years

I liked this program better than some of the competitors because of its ease of getting around. I like to go between forms view and interview. I have always been used to doing my own tax return with the forms but I can also appreciate the interview because I can see if any tax laws have changed that may pertain to me.
What's great about it: I like that I can easily toggle between interview and forms view, overriding is easy if needed.
What's not so great: I can't always drill down to where info should be entered from "forms view".

Turbo tax saves time

It would help if I could click on something I was working on and see the government publication info on that topic to understand it better and see if it applies to me
What's great about it: Saves time, state taxes are easy, education deductions and schedule K are done easily
What's not so great: hard to find an answer if you have a question
