Great Tax Software

Great tax software. Used their mobile snapshot app in combination with the desktop software. Worked like a charm.
What's great about it: Simple
What's not so great: None
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Fool-proof

If you are intimitated by tax forms, you will feel comfortable with their interview process. Answer the questions and all the appropriate blanks, forms, worksheets get filled in correctly and automatically. Find another 1099 form when nearly finished?... make the correction, and all forms are recalculated. Confused by the AMT calculation?...its completed automatically. Income from multiple States?...handled seamlessly. I couldn't imagine doing my taxes another way.
What's great about it: Simple interview process. Continuity with previous year's filing
What's not so great: Having to pay Uncle Sam

No More Tax Stress!

What a wonderful, fast way to do my taxes! It checked for errors and guided me every step of the way. Loved the program and will tell my friends to QUIT STRESSING THEIR TAXES!
What's great about it: fast, easy, affordable and double checks my entries

Tough Refund

As usual, using T Tax made the tax prep process much easier. I have many deductions, investments, and credits. The program walks me trough the steps of completing and documenting the entries properly. I have used the product over the past 10 years and am familiar with the navigation. It is a plus that you can skip the to sections you know that apply to you and not have to go through unneeded steps. I recommend the product to all of my friends and family.
What's great about it: Review caught missed items, could skip unneeded areas
What's not so great: lost itsdeductible info for some reason

For the price you charge, you should be up to speed on major OS's. Now after paying extra for the state return version, I'll have to do my Virginia return by hand.
Shame!
What's great about it: Never liked to pay taxes to Virginia anyway.
What's not so great: Can't enter estimated Va taxes paid, in Windows 8

Good for Beginners!

This is the first time I have done my taxes on my own. TurboTax was so helpful; it walks you through all the steps and gives you detailed questions to help make sure you are doing it correctly. The product checks your return multiple times to make sure it's correct, and there is even an "Audit Risk Checker" at the end to make you feel confident of your return. They make it easy to file your state tax return as well, which is a big help! Wonderful program!
What's great about it: Wonderful Return and Lots of Details
