Turbo Tax - Its convenient, its easy, its GREAT!!!

Easily guides users thorough without confusion.
What's great about it: Turbo Tax is thorough in its guidance, user friendly, convenient, & well priced.
What's not so great: They don't allow for free State e-files to be processed :0(

I love the program and learn something new every year. I flirted with the idea of h&r block but didn't like the navigation, Stick with turbo tax.
What's great about it: easy to navigate and helpful info given
What's not so great: It's getting too easy I want to do some of the work.... feeling turbo!

I have used turbo tax sense it came out. I never have any problems. it walked you all the way through each step. I advise all my family and friends to use it. thanks for making it so easy every year

A Somewhat Satisfied Customer for Years!

As a long time user of Turbo Tax (TT) and its predecessor, find that you have to purchase the higher version to get the same features that you had in previous years' version of TT. It is called de-contenting, and it appears to be the thing to expect.
The program caught over payment in the Roth IRA as a disallowed transfer of funds. The sudden influx of monies as a result of retirement caused an on-time skewing which caused unforeseen consequences, which pre-planning could not prevent. Probably could have picked it up if I was doing the returns manually. TT greatly made it worthwhile to correct the Roth IRA dis-allowance.
However, the program was stuck on re-characterizing the Roth into an IRA; no mention was made to allow a withdraw and conversion to ordinary mutual fund investment. Got confusing. Forum help was not good as it was stuck in re-characterization to an IRA.
Have purchased the audit service to cover us in the event that the wrath of IRS and FTB (state) befall upon us.
What's great about it: Relatively ease to enter tax data so long as you have records of tax-related transactions/events.
What's not so great: Explanations are somewhat complex and not clear. But look at the Tax Codes and the IRS/SFTB rules and regs!!!

I found turbo tax an excellent way of doing our taxes all the information we needed is in this program and found it reliable and true to form.
What's great about it: easy of total doing my taxes/ information available

Have used Turbotax Delux for years, and it's still easy to prepare a file. But this year I could never get into the section where I can estimate and prepare my quarterly estimated federal tax payments.
What's great about it: East to use.
What's not so great: No help for federal estimated tax
