I have been using Turbo Tax since the 90's. I like how it is set up. You can use the step by step interview or go directly to the parts you need to fill out and skip the parts that don't apply to you.
What's great about it: Easy to use, Accurate, Up to date.
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Turbo Tax Deluxe Rocks

Using Turbo Tax Deluxe, I was able to file my federal and state tax return quickly and easily. I especially liked the "check for errors" and the suggestion on how to lower my tax. I even got a refund!
What's great about it: User Friendly! Fast and Simple to use Program
What's not so great: NONE!

2012 Review.

THE 2012 VERSION DID NOT AUTOMATICALLY FLOW FROM SECTION TO SECTION. FORMS WERE NOT AVAILABLE AS I PROGRESSED THROUGH THE 2012 TAXES. A SINGLE HOUSEHOLD DOING A ONE TIME ANNUAL FILING FOUND THE FORMS AND SUB-FORMS NOT AVAILABLE AUTOMATICALLY. HAD TO LEAVE THE PROGRAM ON ALL NIGHT TO GET THE SUPPORT FORMS DOWN LOAD.
HAD TO FILE TWICE AS THE FIRST FILING WAS A CYA TO COMPLY WITH THE TAX LAWS. NOW I AM SWITCHING TO CPA FOR 2013. THE FRUSTRATION IS NOT WORTH THE GRIEF. I BELIEVE THAT FILING TWICE WAS FINANCIALLY PUNITIVE.

Early Refund

I'll keep using turbo tax year after year because I feel like it allows me to see every detail of my tax return and allows me to go through my taxes thoroughly so that I don't miss a refund opportunity. I especially like the help boxes I can click on if something isn't well explained, or is confusing, or if needs double-checking to see if it applies to me. The helpful info plus the for example help a great deal The only con - there are still a lot of options that aren't always well explained in lame mans terms. I wish there were statements like...this would apply to you if for example you did this is 2012. Turbo tax is so very close into getting it exactly right! May be next year I will finish my return feeling even MORE assured that I answered every question correctly and I got the best possible refund I could. I also like the audit meter at the end.
What's great about it: Easyguide/explore on own - help and info for confusing questions
What's not so great: A lot of options - not fully explained if they apply or don't apply to my return
