Turbotax

Taxes are so easy with Turbotax because even completed calculations are done for you. Downloading financial information is a great help also. It means you don't have to decipher the forms you get from financial institutions. I do wish more financial institutions participated. I use a couple that don't.
I moved last year. Turbotax made that part of the tax form easy.
What's great about it: simple, covers everything I need, makes calculations for me

I've been using Turbo Tax since 2003 and recommend it to everyone. I'm an accountant myself but still need occasional help. Customer service is extremely knowledgable. The simple comparison to your prior year filing is invaluable in catching potential oversights.

Love Turbo Tax

Last year I tried another tax preparation software because it was cheaper, but their process wasn't as easy and user friendly as Turbo Tax. I came back to Turbo Tax this year to do my taxes.
I have actually compared with others and confirmed that you DO have a quality product here with Turbo Tax.
What's great about it: Very easy to use following the 'interview' process in filling out the required IRS forms.
What's not so great: The e-file cost for the state should have been mentioned or added in the cost of the tax preparation.
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I bought or sold investments

I HAVE USED TURBO TAX FOR THE LAST 10 YEARS. I ALWAYS FEEL SAFE USING IT. I KNOW ITS UP TO DATE AND EASY.

2012 Tax Completion

This year it was a smooth completion of the family taxes. I loved how things were transfered from previous years and made it simpler and quicker with less entry time!
What's great about it: ease of use, info from previous years transfer
