Easy to do

Doing taxes is chore that takes me all day, even with Turbo Tax. But at least I know I'm doing it right.

Made taxes a 45 minute breeze!

This is the first year I bought TurboTax Deluxe with a state download, and after using it, I'll never go back to reading state and federal tax instruction booklets again! What usually took an entire day to sit down and calculate, took only 45 minutes using the TurboTax software. Every question the software asks you is clear and easy to understand, and all of the inputing processes of numbers is easy to understand, and concise. I'll be using the TurboTax software again in future tax preparation! The only con was that the software was insistent on filling out info for box 20 on one of my W-2s, where it didn't have a problem with the rest of the W-2s not having info in box 20. This really was a minor issue though.
What's great about it: Easy to use, clear and concise!
What's not so great: box 20 errors...

Sound Tax Software Package

I have used Turbo Tax (MacInTax) since 1991 and have always been please with its relative ease of use. This year I also sent my info to a tax account just to be sure I wasn't over paying the IRS. That was just a waste of money as they couldn't find any savings TurboTax missed.
What's great about it: ease of use, cost, audit support
What's not so great: none

Problems

K-1's are impossible esp. if there is income from the US AND TWO different countries. Even without foreign income though, this is a mess. Any way to download from the company?
For several years in a row, when I entered my daughter's and son's inlaws income, Turbo Tax kept on changing the name of the recipient of the W-2 or 1099. Even when I entered one person's name and SSN, the program would change it to the other spouse. What's going on here?
What's great about it: Mostly easy to follow.
What's not so great: Two areas;1) k-1 and 2) entering income when two spouses are earners

So much easier

I generally love doing my taxes with Turbotax. It's so much easier and I don't worry about making calculation mistakes. I don't worry about using old information because it updates every time I open it. It checks and rechecks for me. It saves my information to access next year.
If I had one wish, it would be that I'd like to know what I will need as a dollar amount to qualify for a deduction. It does this for some things, but I spent quite a bit of time looking for receipts and making calls to my contractor only to find out that I hadn't spent enough to qualify for the deductions anyway. Knowing what I would need to qualify upfront would have told me I didn't qualify before spending all that time.
But overall, I am very happy with the software.

Love my Refund

This is my 25+ year of using TurboTax and I still love its easy approach to a very difficult process. I simply answer the questions, key in information and watch my refund dollars change (for the better). I also love the way that it interfaces with It's Deductible which helps greatly with my charitable donations. Keep up the excellent work. I almost can't wait for next year.
What's great about it: Easy guide me through format with visible refund dollars
What's not so great: The feeling that I am missing deductiions
