Easy Filing

Have been using Turbotax Deluxe since 2007. Since I prepare filings for many family members it is a breeze putting in the information needed. I have never had any problems following the easy step by step instructions. I highly recommend Turbotax.
What's great about it: Filing is simple just be following the instructions on each page.
What's not so great: Having to purchase Turbotax program and then paying for state filings for my family members.

Good Tax Aid, superbly planned

Using TT guarantees me that I will get it right. And then I can sleep at night. I like particularly the idea that you can have a copy in your hand before you file. And I also am amused that I look forward to the notices that come after, like the tax form arrived, that it was approved, etc., and the process moves along. Well thought out, but needs your attention.
What's great about it: In spite of certain complexities in my return, TT sorts it all out, and gives the taxpayer lots of confidence .
What's not so great: Not any, if you follow the instructions carefully. Need to pay aaattention.

It would help if, each time we open the file and go to "continue," the opening page was where we left off at the last log off.
What's great about it: Thorough Review at conclusion
What's not so great: Hard to read figures of Tax Due at top because of dark color

Did my folks taxes with total ease!

Had a very easy time processing my folks taxes. They're both retired and their CPA retired and they turned to me. I've been using Turbo Tax for 20 years and been never disappointed.
What's great about it: Very easy to do
What's not so great: None
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Helpful and mostly easy to use

Taxes are not much fun. But using Turbo Tax seemed to take most of the unknown away by providing simple directions and helpful hints. It would be nice to have a clear checklist of what 'steps' are needed, but overall the program seems to be better than last year.
What's great about it: Most menu chocies and suggested task were easy to use
What's not so great: A couple of time I needed to review the current status of the return, but was not always able to go straight to the page
