That was Easy

It was easy to be guided through the process of entering all the information from all the forms I received and feeling confident that I was not missing any income or deductions that should be claimed. I was able to go through the whole process, wait to see if any more tax statements came and then go back through to make sure everything was in and add or change any necessary information. I was able to print and review the filled in forms before filing. When I was satisfied how everything looked, I E-filed for free. I, also, appreciated being able to do more than one federal return so I could go through my mother's to see if she needed to file a return. I love the whole process. Thank you for a great product.
What's great about it: Love the steps thru looking at every possible income, deduction, and exemption to make sure everything is included.

Easy to File Again

4th year using TT. Do not fear getting the taxes done as much since started using TT.
What's great about it: Step by step logical pattern covering all areas of return. e-file procedure very easy.
What's not so great: Occasionally asks my a long series of questions that don't apply to me.

I have used Turbo Tax for many years with no problems. Even if I felt I need professional help I would use it to collect ALL of the information that would be required.
What's great about it: easy to use just follow the instructions
What's not so great: Stae Fee should be included in purchase price

Was good experience

We have used Turbo tax in the past but had to go to formal tax preparation org in the last two years due to disability double payments and such. Liked going back to it. Seemed easier to use then in previous versions/years.
What's great about it: easy to follow
What's not so great: some of the deduction explanations were hard to understand

not without frustration

the end review before e-filing was stuck in a loop & did not allow transmittion of files. The screen popped up with the item that it wanted you to recheck with instructions to either change a code or re enter the same code.. after doing so the file would simply give you the same possible error check message ... it should have taken you back to the original screen where you entered the information to check another field because that is what was causing the program to question the code that defaulted... once I changed the field that I determined to be in error on the original entry screen (for pension income) the possible error message did not come up again and e-filing completed
What's great about it: the format takes you through all categories thoroughly to avoid missing required entries
What's not so great: when review was run prior to e-filing a message kept coming up that it needed more information that it had not requested

Technically Challenged and still succeeded!

I am very technically challenged, not an "early adopter" of technology... however I've found Turbotax to be easily mastered. I've been using it for 5 or 6 years now. The automatic populating of the personal info area is a real time saver, and I really like being able to do a year-over-yera comparison.
What's great about it: intuitive, easy to to become competent quickly

This makes filing returns each year a snap. It keeps your data from past years, transfers them forward, and all you have to do is enter the new info.
