TAXES IN TURBO TIME

I really like this program. I have been using it for 5 years now and probably will continue using it. I really like how easy it is to load on your computer and the step by step directions for each section of tax filing.
What's great about it: STEP BY STEP EASY TO DO AUTOMATIC UPDATES MULTIPLE ERROR REVIEWS
What's not so great: COST

Mostly good experience IRS filing

See above on Cons. I went back several time to the federal worksheets on Contributions because the State instruction were not clear on contribution to charity for the Working Poor.
What's great about it: Federal was smoother than past years
What's not so great: State was confussing on Contribution for AZ only

Turbo Tax

Good for general filing, Has built in It's Deductible to track charitable contributions. Can track money, goods donated and mileage.
Would love to see added category to donate food - we donate produce that we grow to our Food Bank. Also would like to see a "Google Maps distance" type mileage calculator from Home to Donation Site for donation of non-cash items.
What's great about it: Carries info from year to year
What's not so great: Often help doesn't give more explanation

I have been using Turbo Tax for a number of years. I am not an accountant or tax specialist. From the first time I used Turbo Tax I found it very easy to follow and complete my income taxes. So I wouldn't think of doing my taxes without Turbo Tax. Turbo Tax makes us all tax accountants.
What's great about it: All you need to do is answer the questions posed and fill in the information. No special training needed.
What's not so great: Some of the Help information seemed inadequate. Earlier versions of Turbo Tax were better with Help explanations.

Just follow the prompts and have all the right forms handy, and this is a reasonable job of data entry. It is a bit daunting, and takes a couple hours, but it's done and seems complete.
What's great about it: Seems very thorough, easy to follow instructions
What's not so great: Filling it all out without any interactions or checking seems very scary
