Turbo Tax is very easy to use, you don't need to be an expert in taxes or know much about accounting. I have been using Turbo Tax for many years and never had a problem with the IRS. I like it especially for the fact that it is designed to work perfect on every subject. They go directly to the fact without unnecessary questions. I truly recommend Turbo Tax for filing your taxes every year and it is my best friend!

Blasted my refund.

Great program.
Only drawback is that some of the questions already answered previously show up as unanswered during review.
It would provide better confidence that the responses were taken is during review it showed up as previously answered.
What's great about it: Easy as pie!
What's not so great: Some questions repeat as if not answered when already answered.

When making an edit on state tax refund amount, for some reason the program generated my return as having 4 extra dependents. Had to not save the tax file, close the program, and redo the dependent portion to make it right.
What's great about it: Easy to use
What's not so great: Problems with editing info

Used an accountant once - waste of time

My wife and I have used TurboTax every single year for more than a decade. It's the easiest and best product out there to use. When you start a new return, and can easily import the previous year, half the work is already done.
We had a big tax year in 2006, where we had job changes, lived in two states, and did a big move. We also consolidated many accounts, sold some investments, and laid out money as we bought and sold a house. We used an accountant, since it was so complicated (or so we thought). He came back with such a big number to pay, it didn't make sense. So, we did TurboTax anyway, and saved $5000!!!!!
Never again will we use an accountant. We enter our information in the program as the items arrive in the mail. And then, we sit down for an hour to do the final review.
My wife and I used to fight about doing the taxes every year. We haven't in a very long time.
What's great about it: Easy to go year to year
What's not so great: Don't know of one

Simple and easy

I have used Turbo Tax for many years and have never been unhappy. I feel I'm getting the best return for my level of complexity.
What's great about it: Good price easy to use especially if you know a little about taxes
What's not so great: None
