I've used other programs and their questions can leave you confused unless you already know about taxes. Turbo Tax asks questions that make it simple and easy for you.
What's great about it: Questions asked in manner that you can understand.

Seat of Pants Tax Prep

Novice or expert, you'll get it done right with Turbo Tax. It takes you by the hand and leads you through each step. This is my 11th year using Turbo Tax and I have seen the process refined to a "can't miss" product.
What's great about it: Easy to follow instructions.

A little difficult doing mother-in-laws taxes with Civil servant death benefits first year after her husband's death. But finally worked it out.

What's not so great: Doesn't encompass all situations

Excellent and will return next year.
What's great about it: Always easy, walks you through every step. Easy to jump back and forth to return.
What's not so great: Would like to see the actual return without having to click through.
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Too many mistakes!

I have used TurboTax for more than 10 years and this is the first year I experienced multiple errors. I had to purchase a second state (PA) which cost more than the original Federal and one state software cost. When the federal form data was used in the Pennsylvania form, a number of errors in data and formatting occurred. It required extensive manual review and then individual overrides of data fields. After all of that, I was informed by the TurboTax program that I could not e-file in Pennsylvania due to their unique form - schedule RK-1/NRK-1.
TurboTax would not maintain that "error" and did not provide adequate instructions or prompting for printing and assembling a mailed copy.

I am very disappointed with this year's TurboTax!
What's great about it: Simple returns are easy and accurate
What's not so great: multi-state returns are expensive and inaccurate!

First time user here. Did taxes with pencil and paper for years. Got tired of that and tried TurboTax.
I absolutely loved it!
I have no experience with tax preparation software and found it very easy to use.
I'll definitely use it again.
What's great about it: Very easy to use. Very intuitive.
What's not so great: Received a 'Corrected Form 1099 Composite' from my broker; Would have liked an easy way to update that file.
Pros: I bought or sold investments
